ScrollGist works with your own AI provider account. In the extension open Settings → Analysis Mode and pick “My own API key (advanced)”, then paste a key from any supported provider (OpenAI, Google Gemini, Groq, Anthropic, Mistral, or OpenRouter). In this mode your requests go straight from your browser to that provider — no limits from us, and nothing passes through our servers.
Groq is the quickest place to start: it powers the same transcription we use and has a free tier.
